JUNK SHOOTING
Junk explores the tension between indulgence and guilt. The female body and fast food: two things consumed with the hands, with shame and with desire, often in the same breath. The vintage grain aesthetic sublimates the vulgar, makes it beautiful, almost precious. What was trivial becomes troubled. What was shameful becomes desirable.
A fry held like a cigarette. A sushi roll in place of lingerie. The absurd gesture becomes an artistic gesture.
The series stages the female body and fast food within the same logic: that of consumption, of guilty pleasure, of the ordinary sublimed. It does not speak from a moral pedestal, it observes, it feels, it desires.
Junk does not judge. It looks. And it wants.
